12 noon - 1:00 p.m.
For years, CASA has worked to bring together the community for one common goal: to bring awareness to the plight of abused children and those living in foster care.
This year’s event will benefit the children served through CASA and will allow CASA to recruit, train and support community volunteers who act as advocates in court on behalf of child victims of abuse or neglect. In 2017, 443 children and 275 families were served by 216 CASA volunteers. This great work has been made possible by the support of our community in the past.
Join us on April 5th and be inspired to learn how you can help children in our community. The Promise of Hope is free for all attendees; however, guests are encouraged to contribute financially in support of CASA children. Contact Amanda Volmer at 913.715.4034 to RSVP.

Join Friends of CASA!
Friends of CASA is a volunteer auxiliary that actively supports CASA of Johnson & Wyandotte Counties and its mission of serving abused and neglected children.
It's for individuals who are not at a point in their lives where becoming a child advocate is feasible, other volunteer opportunities exist through Friends of CASA. A volunteer auxiliary, Friends of CASA allows you to support the organization's work while also choosing when and how often you want to volunteer.
Opportunities for service include:
- Child-Centered Activities
- Community Awareness & Fundraising
- Office & Special Event Support
Members also receive invitations to CASA special events and, most importantly, the opportunity to help children in need of safe and permanent homes.
